Rooms at Orlando World Center Marriott

We stayed in the South Tower which has a beautiful view of the main pool area. From our balcony we could see the fireworks over at Epcot and Magic Kingdom!
It was SO special being able to watch the laser light show, & the featured poolside movie right from our hotel room balcony!

Balcony hotel room view of Laser show, and the fireworks at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom!

If you want some brownie points with your family- I really recommend requesting this view. You get a perfect view of their nightly laser show with music, which is fun must-see, especially for the kiddos.

Amenities at Marriott Orlando World Center

Falls Pool Oasis

This is the hotel’s main pool area. Voted one of the “World’s Coolest Hotel Pools” by Forbes. Clayton really loved the huge TV screens that surround the pool’s edge. We noticed sports being played during the day, with a family friendly movies at night.

The vibe was very chill and relaxing. Music playing in the area wasn’t too loud or club like.

  • Lagoon pool
  • 400,000 gallons of water
  • Zero-entry area
  • 2,200 ft water slides
  • 90ft speed slide
  • Kids’s splash pad + pool area
    • Carson went down the toddler slide here probably a 1000 times during our stay.

    • Lot’s of shady options around the edge of the splash pad

  • “Mermaid Academy” swim lessons for kids 4- 12
  • Private Cabanas for rent
  • Family friendly music playing
  • Large outdoor TV’s
  • Water Aerobics classes
  • Hot tub
Noteworthy: The hot tub, and kids splash pad area is separate from the main pool.

NEW River Falls Water Park

  • 575-foot Lazy Falls Lazy River
    • It’s great part of the hotel to relax in.
    • As someone who is constantly on the go, especially in the theme parks, the lazy river was JUST what I needed to slow down, and enjoy some family time with Carson and Clayton.

    • Lazy River has plenty of room for guests to float around in. I didn’t feel crowed, nor did I have any issues bumping into other guests.

    • You’re able to borrow tubes without a fee.
  • Zero-entry pool
    • Perfect area for littles. Carson spent a lot of time in this area since he’s not tall enough for the big slides.
    • 8 toddler-friendly bubbling nozzles
    • 2 tall vertical spraying aqua leafs
  • Private cabanas
  • 3 water tube slides:
  1. Boomerango (Blue)
    • 2 guests are needed for for the inner tube. 425 feet long. Towards the end of the ride, you’re “boomeranged” 20 feet into the air before racing down toward the pool. *Requires 2 riders.
  2. Aquasphere (Green)
    • 498-foot enclosed slide withsharp turns, and an enclosed sphere that will either propel you forward or turn you backwards. There's a bunch of twists, and turns as you ride through the dark before ending in the pool. *Option for double or single rider tubes.
    • My favorite out of the 3.

  3. Tailspin (Yellow)
    • The longest of the 3, at 525 feet. Open slide. *Single rider tubes only.

Private Cabana Rentals

These are a fun little add on if you want to celebrate a special occasion like a bachelorette/birthday party, or if you just want to feel VIP for the day!

I’m always paranoid about Carson getting burned in the Florida sun, so having full coverage for him to take breaks in was one less thing I worried about.

Clayton was of course in heaven with the TV, lol.

You’ll notice the cooler in between lounge chairs has complimentary water, and a safe to keep valuables secure.

Location wise, our hotel room was pretty far from the River Falls Water Park. Instead of making the trek back to the hotel for Carson's nap time, he was able to take one on the couch inside the cabana.

Nighttime Laser Show

This is something I had never seen before at a hotel! Brightly colored lasers are synchronized to popular songs. What’s neat about this show is that every night, the music is different, so it’s a new experience each night you watch.
  • You can watch poolside, or on your balcony (select rooms with Laser Show View)
  • 10 minute show.
  • My favorite was the Star Wars music portion

  • 9pm start time.
  • If the timing is right, it occurs simultaneously with fireworks over EPCOT + Magic Kingdom.

  • Water areas have attentive lifeguards on duty.

Things To Keep In Mind Before Booking:

  • $42 per day resort fee.
  • $25 per day self parking fee.
    • Parking garage to the hotel lobby is a distance away.. (it is walkable, and they provide a covered/indoor route to the hotel’s main lobby..
    • Complimentary Shuttle service from the Parking Garage to Hotel Lobby is offered.
  • On-site dinner reservations can book fast
    • Make your dinner reservations ahead of time. Especially if you have littles.
    • They do accept walk-ins, but be prepared to wait at least 1-2 hours for a table
  • Every water slide has a minimum height requirement of 48″
    • Carson was able to use the small slide at the toddler pool/splash pad

  • When booking somewhere really nice like Orlando World Center Marriott, plan for at least one resort day. It’s okay to slow down and enjoy what the resort has to offer.

Would I Recommend Staying at Orlando World Center Marriott?

Yes! I would 1,000% recommend the Orlando World Center Marriott. It’s hands down the best Marriott Hotel near Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando.
There’s so many things for families of all ages + couples to do, that you won’t want to leave the hotel.
It’s a ideal option if you want a recovery theme park day at the hotel, or if you want to save on park tickets and make one day a resort day.
Maybe you have older family members with you who need to tap out of the theme parks. You can have peace of mind knowing they’ll have plenty to do at the hotel while you park hop.
The main pool and the water park will keep both the adults and children entertained all day. We legit had to pry Carson away from the water areas. See the video below! Lol.
It’s a great resort to spend a fun, family-friendly weekend get away, or staycation for Florida locals.
