Review: Aloft Orlando International Drive Hotel


Are you itching for a theme park getaway and looking for one of the best hotels near Universal Orlando + WDW? The first step in deciding where to stay is choosing which theme park you want to spend the majority of your time experiencing.
if your vacation plans include seeing multiple Orlando Theme Parks  during your stay, choosing a nearby, more central  Orlando hotel might be a better option for you and your group. 

Aloft Orlando International Drive Hotel Basics

Aloft I- Drive is an upbeat, affordable hotel option within walking distance of SeaWorld, and is a quick 20 minute drive to either Universal Orlando Resort or Walt Disney World. 
This Aloft is attached to and shares amenities with an Element Hotel.  After checking out the Element, that  hotel option seems to be more geared towards families.  

How close is the Aloft Orlando International Drive to the Orlando theme parks?

  • Roughly 6.5 miles to Universal Orlando-
  • Less than a mile to SeaWorld Orlando 
  • Roughly 4 miles to the Walt Disney World Resort 
  • 5.6 miles to Disney Springs

What’s the Vibe like at Aloft Orlando International Drive

Quiet, super chill and not crowded. The lobby is colorful and bright, with modern decor finishes.  Sleek and modern rooms with a minimalist layout.

What are the hotel rates at the Aloft Orlando International Drive?

Hotel rates at the Aloft I-Drive is super affordable and range from roughly $90 per night, to the $253 per night. Keep in mind rates will depend on the type of room, time of year, and the length of your stay.

There are 6 differing rooms types at the Aloft Orlando International Drive. Each room  hardwood floors, and has a small sofa with table.

The rooms in Jambo House do differ from Kidani Village, but the differences are very minimal.

Comfort

The bedding and mattress have been THE BOMB! Their beds are some of the most comfortable Walt Disney World beds I've EVER slept on. The pillows, however, aren't so great. I'd consider brining your own if you need one that's got more support.

During our most recent stay, we were in a partial savanna-view room on the second level, super far away from the lobby.

Pretty spacious! No real wow factors for me.

Although there are no restaurants on-site, but there’s plenty of fast food, and sit down restaurant options withining walk distance from the hotel.

Is there a Parking or Resort Fee at Aloft Orlando International Drive?

There are no Resort Fees or parking charges assessed during our last stay at the Aloft Orlando International Drive.  However, there is a daily parking fee of $12.

(Way cheaper than the onsite Universal Hotels)


Things to Consider When Booking Aloft I-Drive:

  1. Although there is easy access to  the Orlando Theme Parks, it's a bit far from them,  and there's no shuttle service available.

My Overall Review on Aloft Orlando I-Drive:

Overall,  I think the Aloft Orlando International Drive is perfect for those who are budget conscious, 
  • A really value for the money

  • Good location near SeaWorld Orlando

  • Extremely friendly staff
