Best Snacks To Take To Universal Orlando Resort

It comes to no surprise that food at any theme park is expensive, and Universal Orlando Resort is no exception. This is just one of the reasons it’s worth packing some snacks when visiting the parks.

Keep in mind the Florida weather can be downright brutal. Heat is food’s worst enemy, so it’s important to choose snacks that will hold up.

Can You Bring Food & Drinks Into Universal?

Yes! You can bring food, drinks & snacks with you to Universal, provided that you keep them within the guidelines.

Universal guidelines include:

Bottled Water – You can pack up to 2 litres of water.

Food & Snacks – Any food that does not require heating is permitted inside the parks.

Food & Supplements – Any food required for medical purposes and medically indicated nutritional supplements are permitted.

Special Needs – Any food required for special dietary needs (gluten-free, lactose-free, diabetics, etc.) is not restricted.

Baby Food – Any baby food is accepted; no restrictions apply.

Baby Formula – There are no limits or restrictions on baby formula.

Containers

  • Glass containers are not permitted inside the park, nor are any food bags larger than 8.5″ wide x 6″ high x 6″ deep.

  • Coolers that are hard-sided are NOT permitted.

  • No glass containers allowed.

Alcoholic Drinks – You are not permitted to bring alcoholic drinks into the park.

There’s no limits to the amount of food you can bring into the park, but I’d try to avoid overpacking. It won’t be comfortable to lug around a heavy backpack filled with food & drinks all day long.

However, if you choose to bring a large amount of food into the Universal Orlando to save money, or for a large family, I’d consider renting a locker.

Lockers at Universal Orlando can be rented for the entire day. These are located at the front of each park just after the turnstiles.

  • Universal Studios Florida

  • Universal ‘s Islands of Adventure

Renting a locker at the front of the park allows you to keep your food items inside the locker. You can return to grab whatever you need, whenever you need it, as many times as you like.
