Finding Hagrid’s Hut viewing point
When coming from the Clachaig Inn, immediately take a left and walk up the country road. From the Clachaig Inn, you’ll have to walk up the main road. Look for the "Passing Place" white sign and walk past it.
The hillside trail will be on your right shortly afterwards, just before reaching the Red Squirrel Campsite. There was a printed sign with a photo of Hagrid's Hut leading you to the trail when we visited.
Take the narrow pathway and follow the trail up into the fern to the viewpoint. Keep walking upwards to the Torren Lochan viewpoint. You'll continue to follow the trail (yes it will get steep in some spots) up to the top of the hillside.

There are Highland Midges in Glencoe, Scotland during the summer months, specifically between May and September. They are most active during dawn and dusk, and in still, humid conditions.
To minimize midge bites, make sure you pack a Midge Head Net and apply bug spray repellent! Try to cover large areas of exposed skin like your legs and arms. Staying active to avoid being a stationary target also helps.
The best midge head net for Scotland is the Smidge head net, known for its fine mesh that blocks midges while allowing breathability. It fits over hats and packs compactly, making it ideal for hikers and campers.
