Ollivanders Wand Experience at Universal Orlando - 2024 Complete Guide
The wand really does choose the wizard in Ollivanders at Universal Orlando Resort.
You CANNOT leave Universal Orlando without doing the Ollivander’s Wand experience in 2024!
The Ollivanders wand experience is hands down the coolest part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Getting picked is also the closest thing to getting our Hogwarts letters. This is your chance to truly feel like a wizard!
During the wand experience, one guest from the group will be chosen to participate. Everyone else watches. If chosen, you’ll purchase your wand in the shop. ( If you want to keep it)
Even if buying a wand isn’t in your budget, please still do the experience. If chosen, you can turn down purchasing it. Once you’re back at home, you can look for that wand gently used online via eBay, Facebook Market, etc.

Duration
The wand ceremony lasts about 5 minutes.
How Do You Get Chosen for the Ollivander’s Wand Experience
Sadly there’s no guaranteed way to be chosen
It *can* help to stand near the front of the room, dressed decked out in your Harry Potter attire, or wearing a special occasion pin.
Don’t be afraid to do it multiple times until chosen!
This isn’t just for children either. Adults can be chosen too!
Clayton proposed my first time, & it took 3 times to get chosen after that.

For The Shortest Wand Experience Wait Times:
Aim to do the wand experience first thing in the morning, or later evening when the crowds are at their lowest.
Note- Universal Express Pass is not accepted for this show.
